My name is Liz Perez and I am the Nutrition Coordinator at Nature and Stem Kids College, which means those tasty photos you see of the kids meals on the Brightwheel App, I made that! I am a Culinary Arts Major student at St. Philips College and am aiming for an Associate Degree. I enjoy cooking because I love to see the smile on people’s faces after they try my food, and with young kids it’s no different. They can’t lie or hide their emotions, which makes them good food critics.

I love when I don’t get back much of the food I send out because that means they enjoyed it and I’m doing a good job. I enjoy making foods that the kids think they wouldn’t like but turning it into something fun that they enjoy. I also have fun preparing the foods the kids will use during their activities with their teachers so that they can learn through food and make good relationships with it that’ll last through adulthood and encourage them to try new things.
